How to arrange a Baptism

Baptism is when a child or an adult is made a member of the Christian family – all the people who try to follow Jesus Christ. It is an important family occasion for you but also for us as the church.

Because a baptism is so special we want to make it a special occasion for you and so we plan when baptisms are held very carefully. Some of these are during our main Sunday service others are in the late morning. Please ring Sue Sutcliffe (07972 530711) to talk about when your or your child’s baptism can be.

We have produced two leaflets:

  1. Holy Baptism, which you can read online or download in PDF format; and
  2. Being a Godparent. Again, you can read this online or download in PDF format.

You can read more about the Baptism Service on the Church of England web site.
