Churches Together

There is an active ‘Churches Together’ in the Peninsula for all denominations including the Church of England, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Salvation Army, United Reformed Church, Evangelical Church and the Society of Friends. We share Lent and Advent courses/services, Christian Aid, Prayer for Christian Unity and One World Week services, Epiphany parties, &c.

 

             Churches Together also help at the office for the Mission to Seafarers at Harwich International Port when cruise ships are alongside.  They help crew members, who are often away from home for long periods, with phoning home and any other needs they may have.  The local congregations also help by knitting hats for the crew members.
